Director for Finance, Biotech, DACH Region, Finance Operations

We are currently in early stages of shortlisting for a brand new role for a growing Pharmaceutical start-up in the Munich area. We are looking for someone with strong finance experience in the pharmaceutical industry who can help work with the general manager to set up DACH region finance and business operations in Munich. It will be a broad and diverse role due to the fact that the set-up is brand new and everything needs to be set in place from operations and staffing to basic SOPs. The key reason for this growth is the fact the company has had recent successful approvals in German and in addition have a very strong pipeline of products with a number of product launches set for this year. Key points to consider:

• Despite being a start-up, the company have considerable capital behind them, hence stability is not a major concern
• The potential revenue from the current pipeline looks to be considerable
• The role will work closely both with the GM and senior finance members in the EMEA HQ and US HQ
• Potential growth options, regionally and globally

Key Requirements:

• Currently working in finance for a pharmaceutical/biotech company in Germany (We cannot consider candidates from Medtech , FMCG and non Pharma)
• Experience in US Gaap and revenue recognition
• Over 10 years finance experience covering FP&A
• Ideally experience in setting up new operations or working in a start-up
• Fluency in German and proven knowledge for the DACH region
• Open minded and entrepreneurial approach
