Job Details

Would you like to be part of an exciting new EU rail research project on smart rail maintenance and passenger travel experience? Do you have a strong background in project management and administration with excellent organisational and communication skills?

Working with Daniel Johnson and colleagues, you will contribute to the success of an exciting new project, bringing together two related but distinct areas of research. Both areas – smart maintenance and human factors – are concerned with digitisation and the use of information to enhance decision making, either by industry players in respect of maintenance decisions, or by users of the system in employing smart applications to navigate the rail system and its interaction with other modes.

Specifically you will provide frontline support and lead on the practical day-to-day project management support and administrative responsibilities associated with this project. You will be responsible for leading the co-ordination of project meetings.

With considerable experience of overseeing and coordinating complex projects and events, you will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and have a track record of delivering high impact results. Ideally, you will also have prior experience of working in a University environment and interacting with its workplace systems management processes and procedure regarding procurement and administration.
