Job Details
The appointments are part of a major strategic expansion of the School of Mathematics, which in spring 2018 will move to a substantial Grade-II listed property, providing office space for over 100 academics, 100 post-graduate students and 80 post-docs. The building is currently being transformed into a state-of-the-art mathematics teaching and research facility at a cost of £33M.
We are looking for world-class researchers in any areas of mathematics and statistical science, including those currently not represented in the School. The post-holder will be responsible for her or his own research programme, demonstrate leadership and deliver excellence in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The successful candidate must have a doctorate in mathematics or closely related subject, an internationally leading research profile as well as a clear vision for future research directions. The ability to teach a broad range of topics at both undergraduate and postgraduate level is essential.
