The role

The successful appointee will lead and shape distinctive world-class research activities in Cyber Physical Systems, which is consistent with the School’s emerging focus on trusted, secure, available and reliable systems. The position will focus on one or more areas from Industrial Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks, Embedded Systems, Autonomous Systems, and Robotics, with a particular emphasis on security and availability aspects. Additionally, this position will take a lead role in shaping the future teaching curriculum of the school in the Computer Engineering and Digital Systems areas.

 

The person

Applicants should possess a PhD in the area of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent discipline.  A demonstrated track record in trusted cyber physical systems research and ability to solve problems in practice is essential. For appointment at Level D it is expected that you will have an established international research profile in Trusted Cyber Physical Systems, including a demonstrated capacity to lead significant teams in externally-funded research projects.

 

Remuneration

This is a full-time continuing appointment available at Academic Level C or Level D.  Appointment level will be commensurate to qualifications and experience.

The remuneration package for Level C will be in the range $112,874 - $130,151 per annum plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $132,063 - $152,277 per annum).

The remuneration package for Level D will be in the range $135,909 - $149,731 per annum plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $159,014 - $175,185 per annum).
