Programme Head - Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations

The Aga Khan University’s Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (‘the Institute’) based in London, United Kingdom is looking to recruit a Programme Head on a fixed-term contract starting from January 2018 to take responsibility for effective management and delivery of its two-year Masters programme in Muslim Cultures. Initial duration of the contract will be three months with a possibility of extension till June 2018.

 

Responsibilities

The Institute is currently engaged in discussions with a potential partner institution for validation of its educational programmes in the UK. The incumbent will operate at a senior management level to engage in negotiations with partner institutions. S/he will also review and implement academic policies and procedures and ensure adherence to Quality Assurance Agency’s requirements.

 

Requirements

Successful candidate will have relevant experience in academic or programme management at a senior level within a UK-based university. S/he will have excellent knowledge of academic policies and requirements and would have ideally been involved in validation arrangements in a previous role.
