Therapeutic Care Worker - Children's Residential home in Kent

£20,736 to £22,734 per annum

Are you looking for an opportunity that gives you the training to develop your skills in working with children? Do you have an interest in psychology and a therapeutic approach to care?

This is the opportunity for you. The role is working on a full time basis with a children's charity. You will be part of their training scheme, with modules and courses that will give you the tools to climb the career ladder. The charity provides therapeutic care services for children suffering from trauma and have a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Due to promotions within the organisation, there are current vacancies available for Therapeutic Care Workers. Not only will you have academic training to achieve your qualifications, you will also have the career development opportunities to become Deputy Team Leaders, Team Leaders and Managers

This position is working in a children's home and with a therapeutic approach for promoting the wellbeing of children. You will be part of the ongoing training and development with access to a range of training modules leading to becoming a qualified child psychotherapist.

About You

If you have strong communication and listening skills, then this could be the opportunity for you. You will also have the desire to learn and develop your skills in the care setting. As a national provider of care services, my client offers great specialist training for all staff at all levels.

Experience of working in a children's care setting will be an advantage, but not essential. You must have a desire to work with and help children through support, coming up with new activities and providing care alongside a Child Psychotherapist.

You will be offered a generous salary, health benefits, ongoing progression and 40 days annual leave. If you are passionate about working with children and have the desire to learn, then this could be the role for you.

Benefits:

40 days' annual leave, up to 6% employer pension contribution, health benefits, life assurance and the opportunity to become a qualified child psychotherapist.
Relocation package considered. 45 hours working weeks to include sleep in. Nutritious healthy meals included to ensure a welcoming home environment for the children who live there.
