As part of the Diagnostics Business at PerkinElmer, the Sr. Director Software Engineering will support 8+ different diagnostics products focused primarily in the Women's Health and Newborn Screening sector. This person will lead a large multi-cultural global software engineering team focused on providing software life science regulated product enhancements. As a leader, the main responsibilities include:
- Leading a software development team to support short and long term business objectives
- Collaborating with project management, team members, and product managers to design, plan, and develop new products and product enhancements in an agile environment
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, own the technology debt backlog, and make suggestions to upper management to properly align technology with business goals
- Developing, monitoring, maintaining, and improve key processes crucial to the Software Development Lifecycle
- Proving out and implementing development tools and frameworks
- Providing architectural vision and expertise across all layers of the application
- Background in software development understanding the essence of team work and guide their work to right direction
