    The Division of University Operations enables the University's delivery of high-quality and distinct learning, teaching and research experiences. The division's strategic responsibilities have evolved from the University of Adelaide's strategic plan, focusing on people, community, assets and infrastructure and processes.

     

    Human Resources partners with the University to enable and support a culture of high engagement, commitment and performance. The branch provides recruitment, superannuation and promotions support and advice to the University community and manages payroll, staff records, and workforce planning. Human Resources also encompasses the Health, Safety and Wellbeing unit, with responsibility for occupational health and safety programs and training.

    In this role you will be part of a team focussed on supporting, maintaining and monitoring the University’s overarching Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management Framework. You will have an opportunity to expand your experience through involvement in auditing a range of research and teaching activities across the University. You will undertake a range of compliance and support activities including supporting radiation compliance, online reporting systems, online training, and team communications (including web based information). Able to read and practically translate legislative requirements, you will assist in keeping our procedures current and easy to use.

    Salary: (HEO6) $75,316 to $ 81,548 per annum.

    Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply.

    Term of position: This continuing position is available immediately.

     

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have:

    1. Demonstrated ability to work systemically to improve work health and safety through the development and implementation of quality systems, policies, procedures, processes and other management tools.
    2. Demonstrated working knowledge of the WHS Act & Regulations.
    3. Experience in developing and delivering WHS information/training.
    4. Experience in auditing WHS systems and processes(desirable).
    5. An understanding of the self-insurance environment and Return to Work SA Self-Insurance performance standards(desirable).
    6. Sound knowledge of the Australian Higher education sector and the distinctive profile of the University of Adelaide (desirable).
