Job Details

Founded over a hundred years ago, the University of Bristol has revolutionised society with its cutting-edge research and education. An international powerhouse of learning, discovery and enterprise, the University’s excellence is acknowledged locally, nationally and globally. As a Russell Group university ranked in the top 50 universities in the world (QS 2018), Bristol’s future will be as remarkable as its past.

We are recruiting a Stewardship Manager to join our dynamic, highly respected and fast-growing Development and Alumni Relations team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the University of Bristol by delivering a tailored stewardship experience for different groups of donors. This will be achieved by creating and managing stewardship events and marketing materials to support multi-channel fundraising. Educated to degree level, you’ll use your skills to analyse data on various donor populations and strengthen systems to gather impact stories from beneficiaries.

You will have experience of managing social events and projects, and working collaboratively with team members to achieve excellent results. You will have strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, persuasively, and imaginatively in writing. Key to your success in this role will be delivering the implementation of our new donor Giving Circles, which recognise donors who give between £1k per annum and over £5 million.

DARO’s vision is to ‘unite our global community to inspire positive change and transform people’s lives’.  The team culture is optimistic, collaborative and highly professional, where individual and team success is recognised in equal measure. Recently, significant investment has been secured to grow the DARO team. This investment will help to build on current strengths, extend our work with alumni, partners and supporters and harvest many new opportunities.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture.  We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities. Part time candidates will be considered for this role. Please indicate in your application if this is your preference.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 12 December.
