Job Details

The University of Bristol’s Department of Theatre and Performance seeks a full-time Teaching Associate for a fixed term of 10 months (15 January – 18 December 2018 term time only). This post is to cover a period of maternity leave and to undertake teaching, some of it specialist, across the curriculum.


You will be expected to teach a range of topics including: Early Modern Performance Practices, Criticism & the Arts, and Applied Theatre and/or Politics of Performance as well as supervision of Independent Study (Practice), supervision of dissertations and extended essays, and the personal advising of undergraduate students in all year groups.

 

Noted for the significance and reach of research undertaken by staff, the Department of Theatre and Performance is a leading department in its discipline. It achieved excellent ratings in RAE 2008 and REF 2014. You will join staff that work in a broad range of areas across the history and practice of theatre and performance.

 

The appointment start date is 15th January 2018 or soon thereafter.
