    The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is one of five faculties at the University of Adelaide. Comprised of five schools and a number of disciplines, research centres and institutes, the faculty is focused on education excellence and innovative research in the health sciences.

    The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) which sits within the School of Public Health, is a complex, international research and development agency with over 40 staff in its headquarters in Adelaide and more than 1500 researchers located in collaborating centres in UK, Europe, USA, Canada, the Middle East, Africa, South East Asia, New Zealand and Australia.  With almost 80 Centres and groups, servicing over 90 countries, the Joanna Briggs Institute is a recognised global leader in evidence-based healthcare.

    You will be responsible for assisting the Director, Transfer Science in coordinating and promoting all education and short courses for the institute, both conducted in Adelaide and via our international collaboration. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring trainers are accredited, recording training numbers, evaluating courses, and promotional materials associated with JBI related research, training and events.

     

    Salary:

    (HEO5) $67,262 to $75,057 per annum.

     

    Superannuation:

    An employer contribution of 17% may apply.

     

    Term of position:

    This fixed term contract is available from 22nd January 2018 until 21st January 2019.

     

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have:

    • Demonstrated experience in supporting training and events
    • Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team
    • Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and maintain positive professional working relationships
    • Demonstrated experience in a high demand environment whilst meeting concurrent priorities
    • Demonstrated experience in promoting and evaluating educational courses
    • High level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
