If so this role could be just for you!
An independent fostering agency within Hertfordshire wants to take on an experienced supervising social worker to aid in the placements of children with disabilities. The aim is to assess potential foster placements residence too ensure they are able to care, develop and nurture children with different types of disabilities. The children themselves are currently within a residential home, so enabling them to enter positive foster placements is something that will dramatically benefit them and also is something that could bring you fulfilment in your career.
The role has come about through an innovation scheme to give children with disabilities the best possible care they can get and you can be part of the team that enables these placements and makes a child's life better for the long term.
There are many benefits to this role, some of these include;
Low caseloads, because of the complexity of the cases the IFA have placed a cap on caseloads at 10, meaning there is more time to ensure the correct placements are made and so that you, the social worker are not overloaded and can effectively place the children
Homebased working, the IFA believe that you the candidate have the ability to control your own diary effectively and are able to carry out the work with the children's best interest in mind without constant supervision, this gives you a fantastic work life balance and also flexibility in your career
Can also make a massive difference in a child's life by taking them out of a residential home and placing them with people who will develop the children through childhood in the best possible way, ensuring their development and care is at the forefront of their minds
To be successful you must be;
- Previously a supervising social worker with at least one year's experience
