Job Details
You will have proven teaching capability to contribute to the delivery of excellent, research-led teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. With a first degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification or PhD in Sociology or a relevant allied discipline (this includes work submitted for assessment, but not yet examined), you will have recent successful experience in teaching at postgraduate level in sociology, particularly in the areas of gender, media and culture.You should also have experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
You should be committed to providing an excellent student experience and have an understanding of the needs of a diverse student body including international students. You will also have good communication and organisational skills, including the ability to manage your time effectively and an ability to prioritise tasks.
