Faculty of Business, Economics and Law

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) aims to provide a world-class business, economics and law education that opens minds and facilitates possibilities for our students, alumni, staff and the broader community. The Faculty incorporates the UQ Business School, the School of Economics, the TC Beirne School of Law, the Australian Institute for Business & Economics (AIBE) and the Centre for the Business & Economics of Health (CBEH). 

The BEL Faculty offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs to approximately 11,000 students which allow for a wide range of specialisations or concentrations, with a high degree of relevance to employers.

 

The role

The Assistant Manager, Marketing and Communications will oversee the development and production of all publications, collateral, promotional and campaign materials, videography, photography and merchandise requirements for the Faculty. 

The successful appointee will act as brand custodian and be responsible for ensuring our presence across all marketing and communications channels is of a high standard and upholds UQ’s brand integrity. 

The role will provide a high level of service and advice to the Faculty’s stakeholders and Schools, and provide excellent project management of both regular and ad hoc tasks and projects.

The position is within the Faculty Marketing and Communications Team and supervises two direct reports. 

 

The person

Applicants should possess qualifications in relevant disciplines and exceptional project management skills with impeccable grammar, and strong proof-reading and editing skills.

At least five years’ experience managing marketing and communications activity will be required, including the production of publications, printed and digital assets, photography, videography and content development.

A high level of interpersonal and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively liaise, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders and suppliers alike is essential.

Candidates should also possess staff management experience and a passion for delivering great work as part of a high-performing team.

 

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term for 12 months at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,883.65 - $89,559.15 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions.
