The Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Reader in Finance.

Successful applicants will have published their research in excellent academic journals in a field of finance related to the Department’s main research areas. These are asset pricing, banking, corporate finance and financial econometrics. We are particularly interested in applicants with research and teaching specialisms in asset pricing, financial econometrics or corporate finance.

Candidates should be committed to teach to the highest standards at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They must also be able to demonstrate leadership capabilities and a willingness to contribute to the development of new programmes in finance. It is desirable that the successful candidate will have attracted external research funding from research councils, government, industry or other sources.

One of three departments in the School of Economics, Finance and Management, the Department of Accounting and Finance provides an excellent research environment. It regularly attracts internationally renowned speakers as part of its active seminar series and offers access to state of the art databases and computing facilities.
