Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching and research in Transport Management and Resilience? Do you have an excellent research record and proven success obtaining funding? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?  As a Lecturer, you will carry out research, teaching and management within the school, faculty and university and to contribute to academic leadership in the field of Transport System Planning, Management, and Resilience.

The School of Civil Engineering is globally renowned for its teaching, research and engagement with industry and government. It is one of the largest and longest established Civil Engineering schools in the UK with just over 650 students from over 70 countries. With a vision and drive to develop a prestigious internationally competitive research portfolio as well as a passion for undertaking research-led teaching, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of research and student education in the School in the field of Transport Resilience. The School of Civil Engineering works closely on transport issues with staff in the Institute for Transport Studies in the Faculty of Earth and Environment, and currently jointly fund three academic posts. 

Talented, enthusiastic and motivated, you will either hold a PhD in a transport-related field or a related subject or have a significant demonstrated track record of applied research of international standing in relevant subject areas. You will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching at undergraduate and masters levels, along with experience of supervising transport related project students.
