The University of Bristol is currently looking to appoint three Head of Finance Business Partnering, to be active members of the senior management team within a specific University Faculty. The post-holders will work alongside the Deans, Faculty Managers, School Managers, Divisional Heads and other colleagues within their respective Faculty to deliver their goals from a financial perspective.

The successful post holder will be responsible for leading a Finance Business Partnering team in a major area of the University’s activities, holding accountability for ensuring the team provide good quality information and support to improve decision making, enabling strategic initiatives and improving financial performance.

In this post, you will also be responsible for the Faculty’s delivery of their annual budgets and strengthening their financial profiles. This will include challenging Faculty’s, schools and divisions to generate increased income or savings in-year as necessary to help achieve their annual contribution targets whilst working with them to develop potential growth areas in line with the University strategy for growth and internatialisation.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, a focus on customer service, with significant demonstrable experience in Finance Business Partnering, by supporting operational decision making and providing financial advisory and management reporting services.

There are two full time positions partnering with the Faculty of Science and Professional Services, and one part time role, partnering with the Faculty of Life Sciences.
