Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Assistant Officer (post level 13) (25 hours per week)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Receive and handle CPD applications.
  • Handle the capturing of CPD data on Access and Excel databases.
  • Handle general enquiries (telephone/walk-in/email).
  • Handle the recordkeeping and filing of CPD applications, relevant correspondence and documentations.
  • Coordinate and manage bookings for travel and accommodation.
  • Complete requisitions and purchase orders, as well as the issuance of invoices on the PeopleSoft system.
  • Order and manage the issuance of office stationery.
  • Compile reports for the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
  • Liaise with the various CPD committees and HPCSA.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required.

    Inherent requirements:

  • Grade 12
  •  

    Required competencies:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s richly diverse working environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Excel and Access.
  • Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to function effectively as a member of a team, as well as independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  •  

    Recommendations:

  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Knowledge of the CPD process.
  • Administrative work experience. 
  •

    As soon as possible.
