Network Associate

Job Purpose

The network associate contributes to the smooth running of the ASAP-East Africa research programme. They provide back office administrative (50%) and research support (50%) to the project management team: supporting the establishment of an ASAP - East Africa project office at the University of Birmingham and providing central support to the consortium and management of project progress. The role will also provide additional research support to Work Package Two. The network associate will also provide support for project meeting setup and maintain the project website and help draft reports.

Person Specification

• Master’s degree or equivalent in geography, meteorology or atmospheric science.
• Practical experience of working on University research projects, providing administrative and research support to principle investigators.
• Experience of utilising social media to communicate and disseminate research findings.
• Experience of working on international research projects (experience of overseas research environments is desirable).
• The ability to analyse information and communicate effectively.
• The ability to access and organise resources successfully.
