    The Division of University Operations supports the University in the achievement of its core objectives in learning, teaching and research by providing enabling services and effective resources. The division's priorities have evolved from the University's 10 year strategic plan, the Beacon of Enlightenment, with key projects centred around  people, community, assets and infrastructure and processes. 

    The Information, Technology and Digital Services branch is a part of the Division of University Operations, which provides technology capabilities to support the University’s teaching and research objectives and business activities. The branch services the vast University community through four core services: Application Services, Client Services, Infrastructure Services, and a Project Management Office.

    This role will lead a team of IT Architects to deliver technology and digital solutions aligned to the University strategy and contribute to the delivery of successful project outcomes. The role  will focus on IT Architecture, developing an overarching architecture blueprint and road-map; architectural governance and quality control of the technology platforms.

     

    Salary:

    (HEO10) $120,720 to 128,819 per annum.

     

    Superannuation:

    An employer contribution of 17% applies.

     

    Term of position:

    This continuing position is available immediately.

     

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have:

    1. Extensive experience in managing and leading all aspects of Enterprise architecture including Business, Solution, Information, Integration and Security architecture.
    2. Extensive management / technology consulting experience in a tier 1 or 2 consulting company at manager level and above preferred.
    3. Demonstrated business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis.
    4. Extensive experience in applying emerging IT trends, business practices and methods to lead teams of professional staff in the planning of major and complex architectural designs that support organisational goals.
    5. Extensive knowledge with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks. 
    6. Higher Education and/or Research industry experience preferred.
