Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative duties and support for the head of department and staff in the department.
  • Arrange the logistical aspects of organising events such as seminars, workshops and conferences.
  • Manage financial and human resource administration duties of the department.
  • Perform academic support duties such as student enquiries and capturing of research data on RIMS. 
  •  

    Inherent requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ relevant experience.
  •  

    Required competencies:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s rich diverse working environment.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Business Acumen.
  • Results orientated.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Leading.
  • Building Coalitions.
  •  

    Recommendation:

  • Relevant post-school diploma.
  • Experience in RIMS and People Soft systems.
  • Assumption of duties:
    01 January 2018.
