Work in a Non Case Holding Position to Help Improve Practice

A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Quality Assurance service. This is an excellent opportunity to use your Social Work skills in a difference capacity where you will help develop the level of practice throughout Children's services.

This is a non case holding post which will see you carry out thematic audits with the aim of disseminating the information and relaying trends to the management team in order to help inform policy, which ultimately will improve practice. As it is non case holding post holders do no carry out visits which means working hours are generally fixed leaving evenings and weekends free. Furthermore there is a greater deal of flexibility on offer and you are able to work from home and/or work a compressed week.

The Local Authority is currently performing very well and over the last 2.5 years they haven't made any cuts to their Social Care budget and have actually increased the number of posts. Furthermore most of the teams in Children's services are composed of permanent staff, with locums being drafted in to accommodate for an increased caseload. Mangers in services are permanent also having been in post for at least 2 years again reflecting the stability of the teams.
