Research Assistant

Fixed-term contract to end of July 2018 

Salary £29k (dependent on experience)

 

UCEA is the representative body for UK higher education employers and we are seeking a Research Assistant to support the provision and development of our research and benchmarking services on pay and other aspects of employment. Working within the research team you will contribute to UCEA’s research output and to maintaining our reputation for high-quality research, information and guidance on pay and reward and other employment-related matters in higher education.

In this role you will have opportunities to support a wide range of research benchmarking projects, contribute to case studies and conduct sector-wide surveys, some of which are carried out in partnership with the recognised trade unions and other stakeholders in the sector.

Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have recent relevant research experience in economic and labour market data, employment practice or similar areas. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is desirable. Applicants must have a right to work in the UK.

This fixed term position is full-time to cover maternity leave and the current salary band for this role is up to £29,000 (dependent on experience). In addition, UCEA offers an excellent benefits package, including a defined benefit pension scheme and generous annual leave.
