An experienced postdoctoral researcher is required to carry out on a project, co-funded by the Bristol Synthetic Biology Centre (BrisSynBio) and Bristol Centre for Agricultural Innovation (BCAI), to establish DNA free CRISPR-Cas9 editing in a range of plants and fungi. The appointed person will work with members of the vibrant plant sciences community at Bristol to develop delivery methods and protein-based gene editing procedures in a range of model and crop plants.

Candidates will hold a PhD (or equivalent) in molecular biology and relevant postdoctoral experience in a plant-based lab.

The post is for a period of up to two years and eight months, however, there is scope for potential extension if the candidate is successful in securing further funding.

Informal enquiries can be made to Professor Keith Edwards (k.j.edwards@bristol.ac.uk).
