The University of Queensland Health and Rehabilitation Clinics (Clinics) of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences have a longstanding reputation for providing allied health services in its work-integrated learning environment. The Clinics offers Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Pathology services to adult and paediatric populations. Our clinics incorporate holistic and interprofessional patient-centered care with well established administrative support.

Located on the University of Queensland's St Lucia campus, you will work in a stimulating environment with an international reputation for innovative approaches to teaching, clinical and research excellence. 

This role is instrumental in the development of the next generation of Speech Pathologists and will offer you the opportunity facilitate student learning and the delivery of therapy services to our adult clients and their communication partners.

 

The role

There are two part-time positions available that work as part of the clinical education team within paediatric Speech Pathology services providing person-centred therapy services in a variety of clinical settings (onsite, community and school based). A key focus of these roles is facilitating student learning, which requires a passion for teaching with advanced clinical knowledge and experience. The positions collaborate with students, clinical, administrative and academic teams to achieve optimal student and patient outcomes.

 

The person

Applicants must possess qualifications in Speech Pathology, be eligible for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia,possess Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status, possess valid Blue card and First Aid/CPR certification and be eligible for a Medicare provider number.

Applicants are required to demonstrate readiness as a practitioner and experience as an educator to meet the needs of our large multi-disciplinary facility.  The ideal applicant will have the capacity to facilitate the provision of services in a broad range of clinical environments. A working knowledge of clinical education issues and an enthusiasm for teaching are essential.

Remuneration

The remuneration package will be in the range $81,883 - $89,559 p.a. FTE, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $89,662 - $98,067 p.a. FTE).  This range is applicable to the desired part time equivalent of 0.4 FTE  and 0.6 FTE for a 1 year fixed term appointment(s) at HEW Level 7.
