Production Manager, DAS

PerkinElmer, a global company with a mission of innovating for a healthier world is seeking an experienced Production Manager for a facility located west of Boston. This key management position within the Discovery & Analytical Solutions (DAS) business will work closely with other department managers as well as executive management. This position will lead and is responsible for effectively executing production activities with low volume and highly technical products. As a member of the management team, the Production Manager will develop and implement plans that support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a 30/60/90 day manufacturing plan, manage production resources accordingly and communicate plans across functions.
• Drive all production & order fulfillment activities in support of customer requirements.
• Drive process improvement activities in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Select and manage qualified personnel required to meet production plans.
• Ensure strict compliance with procedures & processes.Implement processes when necessary.
• Identify training needs, initiate development of team, and recommend effective personnel action.
• Develop and drive short range (AOP) plans yearly.
• Maintain appropriate communications within area of responsibility.
