Job Details
Job Purpose
The post is for a clinical lectureship in Restorative Dentistry with an emphasis on periodontology will provide broad-based research, teaching and clinical training in Dentistry. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the delivery and further developments of internationally excellent research activity through clinician-based scientist partnerships in the School and University. They will also be expected to contribute to teaching in Restorative Dentistry both in the four clinical years of the BDS programme as well as within the preclinical first year. An honorary clinical appointment with Birmingham Community Health Foundation Healthcare Trust will be sought and in the first instance one session per week will be available for personal treatment under the guidance of a senior academic who holds an honorary consultant contract.
Person Specification
Applicants must be registered with the General Dental Council and will be expected to undertake a PhD (if they do not have one) in an area which maps into the School of Dentistry research themes.
