Social Worker - POD Guardianship Assessor - London

Full Time Guardianship Assessor Required to Support Pod

A Local Authority which is based in London is looking to take on an experienced Social Worker to work with connected persons & extended family members in assessing their capacity to protect and meet the needs of vulnerable children.

The Local Authority has adopted the Hackney Model and so teams are arranged in "Pods" which take cases following assessment through to permanency. The post will see you work as a part of a Pod where you will have the full support of your colleagues and will have the advantage of weekly supervision meetings where cases are discussed and ideas and advice shared.

This is a service that encourages discussion and reflective practice where Social Workers are given the tools to help them improve their skills and proficiency. The Local Authority also use Systemic Practice in their approach, which you will received training on.

The Local Authority have a high performing Children's Social Care service and has not made any cuts to the service for the last 2 years. Furthermore Children's Services benefit from a very stable management team all of who have been in post for more than 2 years adding to the overall stability of the service.

To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience in completing SGO assessments.
