The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences' offers programs in Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Pathology. We welcome around 500 new students each year into our undergraduate and postgraduate offerings. Candidates are sought for one or more teaching and research appointment in Occupational Therapy. We are a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate occupational therapy education in Queensland. The role
The role of Associate Lecturer / Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy will engage in teaching into undergraduate and graduate entry programs in the area of occupational therapy theory and practice and have experience in adult physical occupational therapy clinical practice using recent professional practice. The role will contribute to the research profile of the School through collaborations that produce research outputs and successful applications for internal and external research funding. The successful appointee will also perform administrative functions and other activities associated with the School and have the opportunity to engage with professional bodies and a range of internal committees at various levels within the University.
The person
Candidates should possess a qualification in Occupational Therapy, hold (or have significant progress to completing) a PhD and be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. You should have expert knowledge in occupational therapy theory and practice and have experience in vocational rehabilitation, adult psychosocial or adult physical occupational therapy clinical practice. The successful applicant will build on their current research profile and develop a research program in Occupational Therapy or a related field commensurate with the level of appointment.
Remuneration
These are full-time, continuing appointments at Academic Level A, B or C. The full-time equivalent remuneration packages are as follows:
Academic Level A will be in the range $64,533 - $87,535 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 - $102,416 p.a.).
Academic Level B will be in the range $92,142 - $109,419 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $107,807 - $128,020 p.a.).
Academic Level C will be in the range $112,874 - $130,150 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $132,063 - $152,276 p.a.).
