Senior Medical Advisor - Top 10 Pharma - UK

My client is a global leading Pharmaceutical company with a great reputation in the industry, which is a fantastic stepping stone for you to further your career in the industry.

Reporting to the Head of Medical, UK and Ireland, you will build scientific relationships with individual medical and scientific leaders, identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other stakeholders and help to build and develop expert networks. You will also play a critical role in contributing to medical, scientific, product and technical support.

Key responsibilities:

* Act as therapy area expert to provide strategic medical input into the company decisions on specified therapeutic areas as required.
* Bring clinical and scientific expertise to National and Regional market access activities, including direct medical and scientific input to reimbursement dossiers and strategy and advice on the delivery of clinical tender submissions.
* Develop and maintain strong scientific partnerships with key external experts and professional bodies.
* Develop clinical research opportunities, identify and evaluate Investigator Initiated Study proposals and audits
* To advise on compliance issues, review and approve materials in accordance with the ABPI/IPHA Codes of Practice and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
* Provide support to the Director, Medical Affairs in developing and implementing Medical Affairs initiatives to support the needs of the Company
* Provide scientific support to Marketing, Regulatory, Market Access, Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management groups
* Maintain an oversight of and contribute to the examination and certification of promotional and non-promotional materials and activities
* Ensure the ethics, transparency, quality and compliance of all medical activities.
* Bring clinical and scientific expertise to National and Regional market access activities, including direct medical and scientific input to reimbursement dossiers and strategy and advice on the delivery of clinical tender submissions.
* Work on local clinical studies and provide scientific support where appropriate

What do I need to apply?

* UK registered medical practitioner or qualified to register in the UK
* Higher medical qualification desirable
* Final Signatory desirable
* Industry experience desirable
* Experience in Immunology/Vaccines desirable
* Knowledge of Regulatory guidelines, ABPI Code of Practice and standard operating procedures desirable
* Knowledge of the principles of clinical trial design, management, analysis and reporting, including GCP desirable
* Knowledge of the structure and management of the NHS desirable
