Job Details

Research and Innovation Services (RIS) is now seeking to recruit a Research Funding Manager who will focus on funding opportunities arising from the Industrial Strategy and Innovate UK. Working within a team of five, you will provide expert research funding advice and intelligence and hands-on bid support to senior academics and researchers on large strategically-important projects.  You will develop and implement sustainable funder-specific strategies building on research strengths and expertise of the University with the aim of growing research income.  

Educated to at least degree level, you will have substantial knowledge and experience of the UK and international research funding landscape – especially those for industrial collaborative research.  You will have excellent communication skills, be well-organised with the ability to multi-task and influence. You will be a self-starter and enjoy the challenge of making things happen in a fast-moving environment.
