Communications and Engagement Officer

Job Purpose

The Communications and Engagement Officer will develop and lead the Hub’s marketing and communications strategy, alongside the academic Director, and play an integral role in developing and delivering the Hub’s engagement activities, including a national conference and lecture series. This role will require someone who is completely comfortable in a leadership role who is proactive and can draw together a cross-organisation team of marketing communications professionals, ensuring strategies and activities align with the NCNR’s priorities.

Person Specification

The postholder should:

• Be able to work on their own initiative
• Have experience of large scale, multi-agency projects.
• Be a tenacious self-starter who can plan and manage a significant annual budget and delivery plan
• Have experience in working in a business development/engagement or a communications role within any sector
• Have strong experience of communications, public affairs and stakeholder engagement on an international scale
• Strong understanding of the robotics research and industry landscape along with the HE environment
• Experience of working in a large and complex organisation
