Job Details
As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a UK Business Development Manager.
Lead strategic goals and sales effort to grow market share on the territory primarily through the acquisition of new NHS laboratory diagnostics business, normally via participation in pan-pathology managed service tenders.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with current key and senior level customers at and above lab level as well as KOLs to understand future customers' needs and create a retention plan to secure existing business.
Identify key senior level decision makers and KOL within each Trust or Network and create a clearly defined business development strategy to secure new business at each account.
Responsibility to lead Clinical Laboratory sales strategy at each site, present and promote solutions to key prospects.
Identify and create product champions and partners who can support the company and over time develop a network of advocates to utilise as references.
Maintains a deep understanding of the marketplace trends and gain knowledge of competitors actions, anticipate market changes and proactively shares insights with the Country Director and Sales team to aid annual Business planning and future strategy.
Manage pre-tender meetings and on site activity to effectively influence and promote the company as the preferred partner of choice.
Facilitate basic lab-work flow analysis and assessment. Understand and be able to talk the language so as to be able to work with valumetrix experts and to be able to relay and present results and recommendations to the customer.
Coordinates and participates in promotional events, trade shows / conventions to strengthen Ortho's customer loyalty and further engage prospects.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
University Degree and/or MBA/Master's degree desirable.
Minimum of 5-Years sales experience with proven history of success in the Clinical Laboratories Diagnostics industry in the fields of Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay.
Experience in Automation and lab lean design / workflow, would be considered advantageous.
3 years' experience in a Key Account or Business Development role within a culture of personal accountability.
Sales Management experience would be advantageous.
