Summary
A creative and innovative scientist with strong analytical skills and current experience in the fields of genomics and proteomics who develops, designs, and tests new biological assays for automated microfluidic instrumentation in a customer-focused team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Drives the development of new biological assays for quantitation & diagnostics and the associated automated instrumentation
- Supports the lifecycle management of existing assays and instrumentation
- Conducts microfluidic assay experiments and analyzes/interprets results
- Develops new concepts and conducts feasibility studies
- Performs and documents new product verification and validation studies
- Works with team members to identify problems
- Interfaces with Field Application Specialists and customers on new product development
- Coordinates purchase and storage of reagents and lab supplies
- Actively maintains professional and technical knowledge at leading edge by seeking out and attending workshops, reviewing technical literature, and participating in professional societies
