Job Details
Go Higher West Yorkshire (formerly HEART), a consortium of 12 Higher Education Providers in West Yorkshire, is looking to appoint a Campaigns Manager to engage particularly with parents/carers to support the delivery of our HEFCE funded National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP). NCOP seeks to identify and address issues around progression to higher education for young people living in areas where progression is low overall, and particularly low when GCSE attainment is taken into account. Parents/Carers and other family members are key influencers in the decision making of young people; we are therefore seeking a Campaigns Manager to particularly work with this group providing them with the information they need to help their child take the next step in education. You will use your experience, as well as information gathered through market research or other methods, to develop and lead a strategic plan for marketing and communications campaigns that empower parents/carers to support their child into Higher Education. We have a target of reaching a minimum of 7,500 parents and carers by the end of 2018.
You will be responsible for the development and delivery of campaigns including project management, managing contractors the campaign budget and reporting on progress. You will work in partnership with staff across the NCOP project including those based in our 12 Higher Education providers, school, colleges and academies to align the campaign work with other activities, events and initiatives taking place across the project. The post will be based within the University of Leeds, but will require the successful candidate to travel across the region and attend Regional/National events. There is a need to work flexibly as there will be some evening and weekend work.
To explore the post further or for any queries you may have, please contact: Bill Robb, NCOP Team Manager
