Family Support Team - £35/hr - Lower Caseload - QSW
Nonstop' s client, a Local Authority based in a beautiful area in the South East of England not far from the coast, is looking for a Qualified Social Worker for its Family Support and Protection Team. They are looking to interview and appoint as soon as possible, meaning you can start a new role immediately.
Your Role:
We are looking for qualified social workers who will be able to assess, monitor and review social care needs of individuals, relatives and carers and to arrange the provision of appropriate care services. You must have the knowledge, experience and specialist communication skills to gather information and make a full assessment of the risks, protection and social care needs of individuals, carers and families. Must be capable of devising individual care plans based on needs and risks and take appropriate action, in conjunction with other agencies, to protect vulnerable people.
This is an ongoing contract offering up to £35/hr for a period of 6 months, but it can get extended, meaning you will be in a stable role, while earning very well. As part of the Family Support and Protection Team, you will do the initial stages of the care proceedings and then pass the cases over to the children looked after team. This means you won't do as much court work, so the role is less stressful.
There will be Laptop and phone provided to all social workers to allow team members the ability to work where ever they are as well as the option to hot-desk to other offices within the area. You will have a 'Direct Working with Children' toolkit'; toys, books, pads etc. available which will make it much easier to explain court proceedings to children. The management team also invest in their locum staff meaning all locum team will have plenty of support and training, if needed, to carry out their role to the best of their abilities
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant Degree
- Post qualification in the UK experience
- HCPC registration
- Full Clean driving license
Those with extensive experience may also be considered for a more senior role, meaning instant progression and a higher income.
