Techrete Lecturer in Façade Engineering
Salary Range: £47,910 – £53,400 p.a
Job summary
A Lectureship to conduct high quality research and teaching related to Façade Engineering, in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
This is a full time open ended appointment, involving collaborating with colleagues from the Structures Section and from the new Centre for Infrastructure Materials. The post is made possible through generous support from Techrete.
Duties and responsibilities
You will have a broad understanding of Façade Engineering, and will be expected to plan, resource and direct an original and high quality research programme in one or more aspects of Façade Engineering.
You will have the capability to carry out research projects independently, and will also develop and lead collaborative projects, particularly with other members of the Department, to tackle broader challenges.
Essential requirements
You must have a PhD (or equivalent) in a subject relevant to Façade Engineering together with a broad knowledge of Façade Engineering, and a track record of high quality research activity and publishing technical papers in leading international peer-reviewed journals.
You will also have the technical skills to perform cutting edge and rigorous research in Façade Engineering, with the vision and imagination to develop a series of good ideas for funded research projects.
You will have the ability to interact positively with other academics, a willingness to communicate well, and good coordination, organisation and leadership skills.
