We are searching for a highly technical Process Technologistwho wants to develop into electro mechanical products. The product range differs from simple mechanical over electromechanical systems, with further evolution to more electronically controlled systems.

You will join the existing development engineering / Project Management team for a growing & innovating automotive supplier. You belong to the multidisciplinary project team when launching new projects for our branches in Europe (Belgium, Austria, United Kingdom and Hungary)

It is a full time, permanent position based in Flanders, Belgium.

Profile requirements;

    • You are Bachelor or Master in a technical direction, or equivalent through experience. Knowledge of injection molding technologies is a plus.
    • You are a good coordinator and communicator.
    • You are fluent in English (Dutch / English / German).
    • You have a practical (hands-on) and result-oriented attitude.
    • You have a strong analytical ability and can work in a structured manner.
    • You are driven and proactive.
    • You usually work in daytime. If necessary, you are prepared to work (temporarily) in shift
    • 6 Sigma knowledge / interest is a plus
    • You have basic knowledge of drawing reading and measurement technology.
    • You can work together smoothly, across the different teams.
    • You can make decisions independently.

Position responsibilities;

    • You act as technical knowledge carrier and contact person for the relevant technologies and processes within the department.
    • You offer daily technical support in production, from raw material to end product.
    • You strive for process stability. You guide the employees in Molding to ensure this stability (through documentation, support, knowledge transfer to the work floor, ...). You have a coaching and supporting role in training employees.
    • You analyze the problems that arise (by making use of measurements, technical analyzes, external contacts (EMEA / GLOBAL + suppliers) and experience gained) and strive for structural solutions that are supported by the employees and that comply with all safety standards. You make optimum use of the continuous improvement tools.
    • You contribute to continuous improvement of the processes and the quality of the end product.
    • You are responsible for handling internal / external customer complaints.
    • You support the repair in case of malfunctions (mold / machine).
    • You formulate recommendations and assist in defining the concept and specifications in the design of new processes, in collaboration with the department.
    • You are responsible for implementing and securing new technologies and applied solutions during the start-up phase of new processes to series production.
    • You define and coordinate improvement projects (eg reducing repair costs, reducing machine downtime, standardization, ...).
