Purpose Responsible for the overall management of genetic screening software projects so that the projects produce the expected outcome with regards to time, scope, quality and budget (if applicable).

Persons in this position report directly to Team Leader to discuss progress, resource and capital needs, ideas and priorities, but are ultimately responsible for the management of each project and the overall deployment approach.

Extensive team and customer interaction is required and the abilities to act professionally and swiftly to customer concerns are imperative.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Persons in this position should expect to have to manage large deployment projects as well as smaller project tasks, often simultaneously. The responsibilities of this job position require:
  • Proper management of scope and change so that impact to projects is planned, considered, and agreed upon by all parties.
  • A working knowledge of PKI software packages assigned by the Team Leader and an independent understanding of how to use high level items within the software.
  • The ability to assist with customer training for software packages as assigned by the Team Leader.
  • The ability and understanding and communicate product descriptions for all software packages supported by PerkinElmer Software Services.

  • Providing mentoring to project team members.
  • Working with the sales organization in creating project proposals as requested.
  • Create appropriate documentation for all work performed. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Change Request Form
    • SOW
    • SSD
    • Project Plans
    • Schedules and Timelines
    • Meeting Minutes
    • Trip agendas
    • Trip summary reports
