Accountancy Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an Accountancy Assistant to join the Professional Service Finance department; the role is varied and part of a team responsible for all aspects of the University’s research accounting service. They will be a part of a team who supports the Faculty of Medicine; it has a large research portfolio with over a £100 million applications and £40 million in awards, a strong business partner relationship with the University of Southampton Hospital Trust which helps to teach our future medical practitioners. 

The role will report to the Faculty Accountant and be a part of a team of 13; which is located at Southampton General Hospital. 

You will be well organised, with excellent analytical and numeracy skills, with an eye for detail and who is capable of effectively managing a wide range of simultaneous projects/activities. Someone who is self-motivated and can prioritise their work in order to meet deadlines in a busy environment. Good communication, IT and customer service skills are essential to the role.
