The University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research (UQCCR) is a $70 million purpose-built facility located at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital site at Herston, Brisbane. The RBWH is the largest teaching hospital in Australia and the site also houses a significant Faculty of Medicine presence.  UQCCR’s mission is to improve health outcomes for individuals and populations based on rigorous, high quality clinical research.

The role

The position will be responsible for the overall management and oversight of clinical trials and clinical research projects for the Queensland Drug repurposing Initiative (QDRI) which is being established with significant funding through the Advance Queensland Innovation Partnerships (AQIP) program. QDRI partners include The Shake It Up Australia Foundation, The Cure Parkinson’s Trust UK, Wesley Medical Research, Griffith University and The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH). This position will manage QDRI clinical trials and clinical research projects to ensure start up, monitoring and close out within a quality control framework.

The person

Applicants should possess qualifications (Bachelor’s or Masters) in relevant health disciplines with significant demonstrable experience in management of multi-center clinical trials and clinical research programs. It is expected that applicants will have an in-depth knowledge of relevant Good Clinical Practice guidelines and proficiency with clinical trials management systems.

Remuneration

This is a full-time fixed term 3-year appointment at HEW Level 8 with the possibility of extension based on funding. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,811.16 - $104,214.40 plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $108,589.06 to $121,930.85)
