Job Details
My client is one of the UK's leading providers of materials testing, geotechnical and environmental consultancy services. They have an expanding Geo-Environmental consultancy team in their offices in Maidstone and are looking to further expand with a hard working Environmental Scientist/Geo-Environmental Engineer.
You will be working on a range of complex projects and will be supported with training, chartership and personal development. This role will suit an engineer who is willing to actively work towards senior consultant level.
Relevant experience includes the following:
- Preparation of Phase I Preliminary Risk Assessment/Desk Study reports including the development of Conceptual Models exploring relationships between potential sources, pathways and receptors of contamination
- Undertaking Phase II site investigations of contaminated sites and logging soils to BS5930
- Field monitoring of controlled waters and ground gases
- Scheduling laboratory chemical testing and liaising with analytical laboratories;
- Preparing interpretative risk assessment reports
- Carrying out waste classification Hazard Assessments
- Overseeing remediation works and the recovery of validation samples
Remuneration
- £22,000 - £30,000 p/annum (negotiable on experience)
- 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
