Job Details

A Cleanroom Process Engineer is required to join the Quantum Engineering Technology Labs (QETLabs) team at the University of Bristol. This is a technical role which will be based in the University Cleanroom in the School of Physics and will have day-to-day responsibility for the management of the process flow that enables photonic chip fabrication. In addition to providing technical advice and guidance to Cleanroom users and operators, the post holder will contribute to monitoring performance of systems and development of new processes for recording equipment usage.

You will ideally have experience of working in a cleanroom environment, although full training will be given. Expertise in photonics, including device design, fabrication and characterisation is an advantage. Experience of working in teams specialising in technology development, and the ability to manage projects is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a role which will have a positive impact in developing the technician support within the School of Physics. The contract will be offered on an open-ended basis with funding currently available until July 2020.
