Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

The post holders, as a member of a multi-disciplinary team will be responsible for the provision of a high quality and specialist programme of psychological and emotional support.
They will be responsible for contributing to the provision of Maggie's programme of psycho-educational support and in collaboration with the Centre Head for developing aspects of Maggie's programme and the manner of its delivery in accordance with Maggie's policies and procedures, and for piloting and evaluating such initiatives within their Centre in collaboration with the Centre Head and in accordance with Maggie's Research and audit policy.
The post holders will be responsible for the facilitation of support groups, networking groups, workshops, courses and lectures and will have responsibility for enabling people affected by cancer to access all appropriate elements of Maggie's programme of support.
The successful candidates will be trained to postgrad doctoral level in psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996). They will have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team and will also have experience of full clinical or counselling responsibility for psychological care and treatment.
