An opportunity as a NGS Scientist has become available with one of the world's leading diagnostics company. They are searching for a specialist within Next Generation Sequencing who is keen to build on their industry knowledge and support a company at the forefront of diagnostic technology and development. Working within the heart of the R&D department, you will have the opportunity to take your scientific experience and use this to help advance techniques and sequencing with other scientific professionals, as well as experience working life within an industry leader.
This is an ideal opportunity for those who have studied Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) as part of their degree or in a laboratory setting and are looking to begin their career in industry. This position is initially being offered as a 1 year fixed term contract, however the company are growing and therefore offer alternate career opportunities for the future.
Key Requirements for this NGS Scientist position include:
- Proven knowledge of NGS
- Previous experience working within a research and development department is highly beneficial
- A PhD in biochemistry or related discipline
- Preference will go to candidates already based within the Cambridge area, however candidates meeting the above criteria who are flexible to relocate will also be considered
This role is ideally looking for the successful candidate to begin in March 2018
