Job Details
Within our Health Technology and Telemedicine Unit in Basel we are seeking a highly motivated IT- Systems Architect (60-100%).
The IT-Systems Architect will provide guidance to the continued development of selected software applications driving key processes for health systems, e.g. health insurance management systems, clinical equipment management solutions or clinical decision support systems. The applicant will be in the center of the development and roll out of health information technology solutions with a focus of middle and low income countries.
Your position
- Support requirements engineering in collaboration with various project stakeholders
- Conceptual design of software architecture towards improved modularization, interoperability and usage of software standards
- Software design using best practice architecture patterns, data modeling and database design
- Software development as lead developer, including mentorship and supervision of developers
- Unit and Integration Testing
- Management of development infrastructure (e.g. source code repositories, development servers, etc.)
- Setting up processes for source code life cycle management (e.g. developers contributions, releases)
- Maintenance of technical documentation
Your profile
- Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science
- 8 to 10 years of experience in programming, algorithms, data modeling and database design
- Experience with modern web technologies
- Demonstrable experience in software architecture with portfolio of successfully designed and developed systems using modern architectural patterns (multitier, service-oriented, micro services, RESTful applications)
- Preferably with experience in system integration and designing solutions applying healthcare standards such as HL7 messages and HL7 FHIR
- Knowledge of software development processes, in particular agile methodologies
- Good communication and developer coaching skills
- You should enjoy to work in a team and to collaborate with people from various nationalities
- Can do mentality who wants to bring in own ideas
Start of employment: April 2018 or upon negotiation
