The successful candidate should have a 1st class mechanical or aerospace engineering or applied mathematics degree (or equivalent), ideally with experience in experimental measurements of vibration (modal testing), structural vibration/dynamics and experience of programming in Matlab, Python or similar. It is also preferred that the candidate has some basic knowledge in Finite Element modelling. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work directly with Vestas in Denmark, gaining industrial experience during placements as part of their studies.
If you wish to discuss any details of the project informally, please contact Dr Neil Ferguson, Email: nsf1@soton.ac.uk, Tel: +44 (0) 2380 59 3225 or Dr Maryam Ghandchi Tehrani, Email: M.Ghandchi-Tehrani@soton.ac.uk, Tel: +44 (0) 2380 59 4933
