The goal of this position is to develop and maintain an internationally recognized and competitively funded research program in an area of translational research that could include, but is not limited to: cancer and allied diseases, infectious diseases, reproductive biology, and/or preclinical therapeutics. Research programs that would benefit from access to the unique pedigreed nonhuman primate research resources available at the Keeling Center/Department of Veterinary Sciences are especially encouraged. The successful candidate will participate in the training of graduate and veterinary students.  Refer to our website at www.mdanderson.org/kccmr for additional information about the department and its programs.

The criteria for selection will be uniqueness, creativity and excellence in research and scholarship. The successful candidate will be expected to develop externally funded research programs, to work within a cross-disciplinary department, and develop a vibrant research program that fully engages graduate and professional or veterinary students.

Qualified applicants should have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M. or equivalent), and a strong publication record. MD Anderson Cancer Center offers start-up funding, recently built laboratory facilities, and access to a full complement of research core services.
