Job Details
To perform laboratory based and bioinformatics based research supporting a BBSRC funded project on the evolution of multi-drug resistant Gram Negative bacteria
- First degree in Microbiology or a related discipline and a PhD relevant to microbial genomics research
- Proven ability to perform classical laboratory and bioinformatics based research
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Fluency in microbial genomics techniques or methods and ability to contribute to developing new pipelines
- Ability to assess resource requirements and use resources effectively
- Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes of the research group
- Contribute to the planning and organising of the research programme and/or genome sequencing pipeline
- Co-ordinate own work with others to avoid conflict or duplication of effort
