Senior Administrative Officer (Job level 9.1)(Ref. TGB13/040/0218)

Duties

  • Verskaf algemene administratiewe ondersteuning aan die "Family Clinical Research Unit" (FAMCRU);
  • Assesseer werksprestasie in beroepsklasse;
  • Adviseer en bestuur inisiatiewe om werksprestasie te verbeter;
  • Datavaslegging op die Universiteit Stellenbosch (US) se salarisbetaalrol;
  • Datavaslegging op die US se betaalrolle;
  • Konsultasie en advies ten opsigte van die US se beleide en prosedures;
  • Konsultasie, advies en opleiding in diverse betalings, D20's en verlof;
  • Deelname in werwingsonderhoude vir steundienspersoneel as verteenwoordiger van Menslike Hulpbronne;
  • Aanstelling van geskikte personeel by FAMCRU;
  • Voorbereiding van aanstellingsdokumentasie;
  • Oriëntering van nuut aangestelde personeel;
  • Salaris administrasie;
  • Opleiding van personeel ten opsigte van aangeleenthede wat verwant is aan Menslike Hulpbronne, soos leierskap, etiek en bestuursadministrasie;
  • Prestasiebestuur administrasie;
  • Werknemende beplanning om strategiese doelwitte te bereik.·        

 

  • Providing general administrative support to the Family Clinical Research Unit (FAMCRU);
  •  Assessing work performance in occupational classes;
  •  Advising and managing initiatives to improve work performance;
  • Data capturing on the Stellenbosch University (US) salary payroll;
  • Data capturing on SU payrolls;
  • Consulting and advising regarding SU's policies and procedures;
  • Consulting, advising and training regarding diverse payments, D20's and leave;
  • Participating in recruitment interviews for support staff as HR representative;
  • Appointing suitable personnel at FAMCRU;
  • Preparing appointment documentation;
  • Managing orientation of newly appointed personnel;
  • Salary administration;
  • Training personnel with regards to HRrelated issues like leadership, ethics, and management administration;
  • Performance management administration;
  • Workforce planning to meet strategic objectives.

 

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes·       

  • Tersiêre kwalifikasie in Menslike Hulpbronne, of `n verwante veld;
  • Vyf jaar ervaring in Menslike Hulpbronne;
  • Ervaring van datavaslegging;
  • Kennis van Menslike Hulpbronbeleide, riglyne en prosesse;
  • Ervaring van bevoegdheidsgebaseerde onderhoudvoering;
  • Sterk administratiewe vaardighede met die vermoë om onder druk te funksioneer en `n groot werkslading binne `n beperkte tyd te hanteer;
  • `n Hoë mate van akkuraatheid;
  • `n Sterk kliënte ingesteldheid;
  • Goeie interpersoonlike vaardighede en die vermoë om konflik te hanteer;
  • Die vermoë om effektief binne spanverband te funksioneer;
  • Die vermoë om vertroulikheid te handhaaf;
  • Voldoende kennis van SuidAfrikaanse arbeidsreg.·    

 

  •  Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or a related field;
  • Five years' experience in the field of Human Resources;

 

  • Data capturing experience;
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, guidelines and processes;
  • Experience in competency based interviews;
  • Strong administrative skills with the necessary ability to excel under pressure and to handle a large volume of work within time constraints;
  • A high degree of accuracy;
  • A strong client orientation;
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to handle conflict;
  • The ability to function effectively within a team;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Adequate knowledge of South Africa's labour laws.

Recommendation
